Final draft

  1. Why do you want to study this course?

When my town capped bus fares at £2, ridership rose by a fifth: far less than the council forecast. Working out why led me from demand curves to the cost of a commuter’s time.

  2. How have your studies prepared you?

My EPQ on the minimum wage taught me to read a regression table, and to distrust one that looks too neat. A-level Statistics gave me the tools to check.

  3. What else have you done to prepare?

At the café where I work on Saturdays, a 30p oat-milk surcharge cut orders by half. I logged a month of sales to estimate its price elasticity.

3,968 / 4,000 characters

Three questions. 4,000 characters.

Most applicants have never written anything like it. The course takes you through each UCAS question in turn, with a walkthrough and a template for every step.

  1. 1

Why do you want to study this course?

Find the real reason you chose your subject, and the reading and ideas that show it.

  2. 2

How have your studies prepared you?

Turn what you’ve learned at school into evidence that you’re ready for the course.

  3. 3

What else have you done to prepare?

Choose the activities that count, and say what each one taught you.

Everything in one course

Seven modules, at your own pace. Watch a step, fill in its template, compare it with a model statement, then move on.

I watched some UCAS workshops but was still unsure where to begin. I found this really useful in jump-starting everything.
